Welcome Ram Families!

I am honored to be the proud principal of Lake Asbury Elementary where our number one goal is to work hard and be kind. I have a passion for creating collaborative classrooms that develop the whole child preparing them for college, career, and life. I have enjoyed meeting so many of the incredible families in our community and feel extremely fortunate for this opportunity to work with your children and the talented, dedicated staff here at LAE!

Please know that the Lake Asbury staff is dedicated to ensuring that every student receives instruction that meets their individual academic needs in a safe and supportive school environment. Our LAE staff takes great pride in interactions with students and families. Building positive relationships with all LAE students, families and staff is of great importance to me as well. Please feel free to email or call me; I will always be available to you during the school year.

As we partner together for this school year, we will need your help! Our commitment to you is to keep our focus on teaching and learning. You can help us by making sure students arrive to school on time, each day. Our school day begins at 8:30 and ends at 2:42. Please make all efforts to schedule any student appointments before or after school hours to ensure that your child receives a full day's instruction.

I encourage every family to join and/or volunteer with our PFA. We have a fabulous PFA with many opportunities to get involved. We thank our PFA for their time and efforts that help make our staff, students and families feel welcome and supported.

As we learn together this year, please make sure to keep the lines of communication open with your child’s teacher. She/he will always be your first contact for any questions or concerns you may have. Parents and teachers working together will increase your child’s success, while also serving as a great model for scholars as to how to work effectively as a team.

Take care,

Tiffany Outman, Principal

Assistant Principal, Melanie McIver

Welcome to Lake Asbury Elementary. I am honored to serve as an assistant principal of this dynamic school. I joined the Ram family in 2016 and have loved every minute of the time I have spent getting to know the scholars, families, and staff. The LAE community is a wonderful place to be part of each day.

I have 22 years experience in education. I am dedicated to creating a culture of supportive community through a growth mindset and shared vision. A cornerstone of my purpose is to build an environment of learning for adults and students through collaboration and experiences that excite and engage. Everyday is a new opportunity to provide scholars with meaningful learning experiences that stretch them not only academically, but also support them in social emotional learning. It is such a joy to see everyone come together to help our scholar’s flourish and grow through challenges and success.

I believe that it is through partnerships and relationships that together as a community we can bring joy, achievement, and success to all students. Parents and community members are a vital part of what makes Lake Asbury a great place to be. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be a partner in your child’s education and growth.

Have a great day LAE,,

Melanie McIver

Assistant Principal, Michelle Caricato

Hello LAE Ram Families!

It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself, Michelle Caricato, as one of the new Assistant Principals of Lake Asbury Elementary School! My passion for education and the success of all students has been shaped over my 16 years serving as a teacher and district literacy coach. In each role, I have sought to ensure the success of each student and school by providing the best educational opportunities possible. Similarly, it is my number one priority at LAE that every scholar receives a well-rounded and equitable education.

I hope your summer has been filled with exciting family activities and enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Our summer is coming to a close and now our thoughts eagerly turn to the beginning of another dynamic year. Our daily work together includes creating a safe and supportive environment in which all learners can pursue academic and social learning experiences to fulfill their unique potentials.

I am so honored to be a part of this school and district. As we build upon existing relationships and forge new ones, let us collaboratively support the social, emotional and academic well-being of each scholar at Lake Asbury Elementary. Through this teaming effort, we will make tremendous progress for all.

With Gratitude,

Michelle Caricato
